GENERAL FEATURES FOUND IN MOST TALBLES

In scientific writing, most tables tables have the following elements:

• A title
   
• Column and row headings (and Table 2 has subheadings)
   
• Double-spaced lines
   
• Columns of numbers that are carefully aligned by their decimal points
   
• Precisely placed horizontal lines (all tables should have at least 3 horizontal lines as in Table 1)
