Biography:
After receiving my B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1981, I worked in industry for almost 20 years for the following companies: The Trane Company in La Crosse, Wisconsin; Badger Equipment Company in Winona, Minnesota; and TRW Automotive Electronics in Winona, Minnesota. After that, I worked as an Instructor of Mechanical Design for Western Technical College in La Crosse. During that time, I taught and wrote curriculum for the following courses: Advanced Parametric Design, Design Analysis, Design Problems, Interpreting Engineering Drawings, Mechanisms & Dynamics and Statics & Strength of Materials. After teaching for 11 years at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in the College of Business Administration's Management Department, I retired in May of 2017 with the rank of Lecturer Emeritus.
