GSH 048-05+045
Right Ascension (hh mm): 19 36
Declination (deg): 11.25
Reference Velocity (km/s): 44.95
Delta RA (hh mm): 00 27
Delta Dec (deg): 4.5
Delta V (km/s): 10.83
Mean Angular Diameter (deg): 4.90
Shape parameter: 0.64
Comments:
Based on how it appears across its velocity range, GSH 048-05+045
appears to be a large structure that contains GSH 047-03+040 (Ehlerova & Palous 2005),
which is the smaller elongated feature at the southwest corner of our shell,
as well as Heiles Supershell GSH 048-04+049 (Heiles 1979), which is likely
the east portion of our shell. At lower velocities,
GSH 048-05+045 appears to blow out into a larger (unseen) bubble.
Kinematic Distances Information
Kinematic Distance (kpc): 3.5
Allowed Range (kpc): 2.9 to 4.2
  Kinematic Distance 2 (kpc): 7.9
Allowed Range (kpc): 7.2 to 8.5
Inferred Shell Size
  Shell Diameter (pc): 300
Allowed Range (pc): 250 to 360
  Shell Diameter 2 (pc): 680
Allowed Range (pc): 620 to 730
Distance Notes:
Greater distance more likely based on Galactic spiral structure in direction of shell
Inferred shell size plausible in context of extent of Galactic Plane
