Critique:

While you got an excellent salary, you irritated Dean Jones by your last remarks and that hurt your efforts to secure a lower teaching load.  Yes, you got a deal, but he probably won't be looking to do you any favors in the future... Feel free to try again to see if you can get a better agreement.
