Your Qualifications

TEACHING:

Although you are a new Ph.D., you are well-qualified for the position.  You have extensive teaching experience in all of the courses the university is asking you to teach.  Further, you received very high student evaluations as well as great supervisor reviews of your teaching from your mentor.  You were even runner-up for a graduate student teaching award.

RESEARCH:

In your five years as a doctoral student, you managed to publish three refereed journal articles plus one book chapter in an edited book.  Of these, you are "first author" on one -- an indicator of your ability to 'take the lead' on a project.

You also have seven refereed conference presentations (two at national conferences).  Of these seven, four eventually became the publications mentioned above.  The other three are in various stages of progress.  One is currently under review at a journal.  You also won a "Best Paper Award" at a very prestigious conference.

Much of this research has been laboratory-type studies.  However, you can also do sophisticated "data scraping" where one looks at Internet-based content (e.g., from social media posts).  You can also do field research.

SERVICE:

You served as a member of the Graduate Student Organization; specifically, you were in charge of the 'welcoming committee,' helping new graduate students adjust to the rigors of the doctoral  program, as well as helping them learn about the campus and the surrounding community.  As an undergraduate, you were a club president and active in student government as well as your religious and civic groups.

WORK  EXPERIENCE:

You have held a variety of jobs, including a year working in Europe, and you have learned a lot about business management.  Your work experience allows you to bring in many different types of examples into your classes.  Of particular relevance is the fact that you spent two years working for a managerial consulting firm, and "learned the ropes" about executive education from your mentor.  The contacts you made while a consultant also may provide you with possible sites for collecting data for your research.
