How will you respond?

1.  "I accept your very generous offer."

2.  "I don't think I can accept that...However, if I did some extra service work -- say recruiting high school seniors to our business school, perhaps we could split the difference between the 79th percentile and the 81st percentile and you would pay me at the 80th percentile.  I think the cost of fuel alone is worth that one percentile!  What do you think?
