Dean Jones says:

"Well, as you know, enrollment in the college is 'bursting at the seams.'  We like to have flexibility for our students, so we offer four summer sessions."

Your response:

1. I see...well, if there is a need for flexibility, I suppose I must show some flexibility also.  However, suppose I only teach three (not four) summer sessions?  After all, I'm brand new here...

2. I see...well, if there is a need for flexibility, I suppose I must show some flexibility also.  However, suppose I only teach three (not four) summer sessions?  After all, I will need some time to work on my research...

3. I see...what if I teach two extra-large summer sessions?  Wouldn't that offer enough flexibility for students to have options, while still affording me 'big blocks of time' to write and to do research?
